Yes, we do offer our own prescription (Rx) portable oxygen concentrator – that’s because we know that sometimes the only option for patients is to buy a device, with a valid Rx. Let’s be clear though, we aren’t trying to replace in-office providers. In fact, we’d like to see more patients get convenient access to licensed therapists who can help them live a happier and healthier life, with all the benefits of a portable oxygen concentrator. That’s why we aim to connect patients with providers who offer POCs, and not just our POCs!
It’s also why we don’t give clinical advice, provide diagnosis or offer clinical services. Our service is not a substitute for professional medical care and/or advice. Patients should contact a qualified healthcare provider if they are seeking clinical care and/or advice.

Some insurance plans and states aren’t yet supported by our service. Please contact your health plan provider for details about your benefits and information on how to get a POC. The phone number is typically listed on the back of your health insurance card.

The Oxyensure POC is a pulse dose oxygen delivery device. It filters air to concentrate oxygen, which is then delivered in individual doses each time you inhale.

Oxyensure does not accept insurance. However, we offer payment and financing plans that will allow you to spread your payments over time.

There are many different types of insurance plans. If you have questions about your insurance benefits, please contact your insurance company or your current medical equipment provider to determine your benefits.
No, Oxyensure does not participate with Medicare, Medicaid, or any other state or federal government insurance coverage programs. Please contact your current medical equipment provider to determine your benefits. If you do not have a current provider, you can find a provider near you.
Medicare does not pay for the purchase of POCs; Medicare only pays for rental of POCs. POCs are under Medicare's Competitive Bidding (CB) Program. If you live or visit a CB area, Medicare will only consider payment if you get the POC from a CB contracted supplier. Oxyensure is not a CB contracted supplier.
Each Medicare Advantage plan will have their own coverage policies. You should contact your insurance company for more information.
U.S. Federal law requires a valid prescription for the purchase of some medical devices and supplies, such as a portable oxygen concentrators. Oxyensure is therefore required to obtain a valid prescription before we can ship certain items. If the item you order requires a prescription, you will see “A valid prescription is required for the purchase of this product” on that product’s page.
If your purchased item requires a prescription, you can ask us to contact your doctor on your behalf. Along with the patient’s permission, we will need the patient's name, phone number, date of birth, and the doctor’s name, city, state, phone number and fax number (if you have it available). No, Oxyensure can only accept prescriptions written by United States licensed physicians.
If your prescription includes the items, you are ordering and your doctor wrote “lifetime” or “99 months” for the length of need, you most likely would not need a new one. You can send it to us and our Prescription Support Team will review it and let you know if it meets the prescription requirements.
If your prescription has a length of need other than lifetime or 99 months, it is valid for that time period, starting from the prescription date. If the prescription is outside of the time period specified, a new prescription will be needed.
